Cafe Jo Jo's in Morgan City is a combination of Cajun - Italian cuisine. The owner and executive chef likes to mix his dual heritage into his culinary creations. Lunch and evening specials are offered and vary according to season. The crab cake can be ordered as an appetizer or as a meal. Light and flavorful, the crab cake is a house special. Seafood bread layered with cheese is wonderful and easily shared. A daily soup is offered and always delicious. Personal favorites include spinach and Tasso, tomato basil and roasted onion. For those that prefer salads, the crab salad is a personal favorite. Others include the house salad of Italian flavors. Entree specials are added daily. House favorites include Eggplant Jo Ann, medallions of eggplant, with grilled shrimp and crawfish etched with roasted peppers and a cheddar cheese sauce. Tilapia Brents, a pan fried Tilapia lightly dusted with peppercorns finished with a lemon butter sauce and stuffed Flounder are also wonderful. Another interesting entree includes the oyster spaghetti. Made with oysters, garlic and olive oil, it's delicious. Be sure to order another basket of bread to dip into the sauce. Top off the meal with the white chocolate bread pudding, another house specialty or the chocolate lava cake. Cafe Jo Jo's has a nice wine list.
