Giant Omelette Celebration
Honor Abbeville’s French heritage during its 5,000-egg Giant Omelette Celebration. The festival, held each November, has its roots in a Napoleon legend in which the omelet becomes a symbol of friendship. The weekend is filled with activity, but the highlight is the omelet, cooked in a 12-foot skillet. www.giantomelette.org.
